Greetings from my dragon !

Posting up some shots from my Penang vacation.

Did some extraordinary stuff this time.

Went hiking for two friggin hours to muka head just to get to the beach.

Woke up early on Day 2 in Penang, and then drove all the way to Teluk Bahang.

Started our hike through the dense forest with amazing phone signal !

hahaha.

Went to play by the exclusive beach and burnt myself.

I looked drunk the whole day with the bad sunburn.

Reunion dinner at my aunt's house that night.

Along with the mysterious lucky draw.

Gone crazy that afternoon.

Not completed though.

and to the representatives to those who were not there to recieve it.

I am finally back from my seemingly long trip from Penang.

Speaking of Penang, the land of good food, I barely ate due to the long string of activities.

Arrived on the first day and slept the whole afternoon while waiting for the reunion dinner at night.

Or more like a firework gathering party.

Had an out-of-the-blue lucky draw on the second day for all the granddaughters.

We had to queue up to pick an ang pau with a number for a mysterious prize.

Left us girls wondering whats with the random lucky draw.

So I got number 6.

Then everyone hopped into their car to drive by my grandmother's house to claim their prize.

Apparently she bought each of us a diamond pendant.

Each number has a different value of pendant and design.

Laughed like mad when we compared each other's pendant.

So guess what ?

I got the simplest, most UNcomplicated design.

But it was also the most expensive and has the most number of diamonds on it.

20 friggin diamonds. I think I died and gone to heaven. :)

Bought this black choker from Diva and realized I didn't like the design very much.
So I change the position of the beads and added some swarowski crystals to it.
I gave it a more focused detail at the centre where it should be.
Hardwork paid off !

since everyone's making new year's resolutions. Maybe I should start making some too.
Though I can't guarantee I'll stick to it.

1. Be happy.

And stop harping on all the small details that makes everything so ruined.
Nothing goes the way we want it to all the time.
Focus more on the bigger picture and look beyond those small things.
Nothing is big unless we make them be.

2. Be confident.
I can swear all my life I've been having this main issue.
It's what gets me down and stops me from achieving a 110%
I am going to change that this year. And it will not be a problem to me anymore.
Maybe then I won't be so blind to all the amazing things I can do.

3. Appreciate my friends.
2011 has been a tough year for me especially when it comes to this topic.
But through all these, I've really opened my eyes to see who is good and who is not.
I know the people I should appreciate more and the people I shouldn't bother.
Sometimes you don't have to look so far. There are people waiting quietly by your side.
Friends will never make you sad, and they will look past your flaws.

4. Appreciate my family.
My last term is going to be busy. And I will spend my last year here.
I need to spend more time with them and learn to spoil them a little bit more.
They are my family after all.

5. Take good care of myself.
With confident issues comes with self image issues.
I know I never like the way I am and so I pig out on depression or sometimes don't eat at all.
It's not really good for me.
But I need to regulate my body and keep it fit and healthy.
Need to concentrate on my dance classes. :)

6. Appreciate all that I have.
THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL.
Love everything around you. You are blessed.
I need to tell myself that.
I need to stop chasing after every single "IN" thing on the market.
I have more than what I need.
And I should share that.
Maybe I need to do more charity work.
:)

Hopefully I'll stick to them. :)

And end up with ticks at the end of each mission.

Dear 2011,

I have had a whirlwind year. Yes I did.
There's so much that have happened that I could not remember any to list down.
I swear the list would go on and on and on.

But what I do know, is that I have had THE greatest time of my life and also THE worst.
All in one year.
I'm half happy that we're all moving on yet quite sad with the fact that, I could no longer turn back time and undo the things that have happened.
I know I couldn't have prevented it. But at least I wish I hoped that I could.

Times have certainly changed, and we have all grown up in our own ways.
Our perspective towards everything else has also changed too.

Life has its way of shaping our road but it still depends on how we're going to walk on it.
How we decide to take each step further that brings us to where we are.

I have learned so much in such a short time.
To maneuver myself through all the hurt and pain.
Through each obstacle, and each rain.
To stand beyond and look further than what I could see.

I also wanna thank to those who have been there through the bad times with me.
And also through each good times we've spent together.
Followed by each bullshit you've ever put me through.
Because without it, I wouldn't have known how unworthy you are.
Without it, I wouldn't have been able to learn of your character, and I wouldn't have made myself much stronger.

So thank you.
And I am also grateful to my friends who have been my shoulder.

It's another boring week with nothing to do but to stay home and rot away.

Taking the oppurtunity to get as much rest as possible before the new semester starts.

Mum has been sick lately, vomiting and sleeping all the time.

went to a few different provinces in China. Couldn't remember most of them because throughout the whole trip, I was blur to where we all were going.
It felt like I was being pushed the whole time we were there.

The weather was great except for the last few days when the wind started to blow.

Went and did scaling for my teeth today.

Dentist decided to do some filling to fill in the gaps between my front tooth.

Is not THAT perfect, infact, they looked weird because now it's bigger than the rest of my teeth.

But I am SUPER happy with the outcome.

I had that gap between my two front teeth all my life.

Now no more !

I can smile all I want. WHEEEE !

New addiction to an old song.

Started playing lyrics legend on a friend's ipad and this song got stuck with me.

Another weekend full of undone chores waiting for me to complete them.

Everyone knows the infamous puss in the movie shrek right?

Watched Puss in Boots at MBO cinemas in Subang Parade last Wednesday.

Went all the way to Times Square in the morning trying to get my bag fixed.

Total waste of time.

It wasn't worth it.

Now I am in a dilemma.

Anyways, the movie was surprisingly entertaining.

(sorry, I didn't like shrek very much)

But it cracked me up throughout the whole movie.

And I had fun. *surprisingly*

I think throughout the whole movie, my favourite part was .....

SO ADORABLE !!!

Finals are coming up close.

And its another exhausting week.

I feel like another war is coming up soon, and this war cannot be fought by using the mind.

It's like the next wave pushing over the tide again.

hello there !

Some of the pictures I managed to snag from ericca's album. :)

Artwork I've done during the IPOC & GRC conference dinner.

Was supposed to be a masquerade theme.

But we were low on budget to buy masks so we'd decided to draw them on.

Spend almost 3 hours drawing 21 people's faces.

Was quite a challenge.

Went home with a sore ache in my right hand and muscle cramps.

But after I looked at the photos, it was all worth it.

I love the fact that they all look so beautiful.

Technically their all the same design, but their faces brought the lines to life.

Anyways, lots of stuff coming up.

But all the main assignments are done.

Finals are in 3 weeks. EEK !

Breaking dawn

Crazy epic show.

I'd say their acting has certainly improved. ALOT.

The whole movie was so emotional

and it was as if you could feel how they are feeling.

Not disappointed at all.

And now I can't wait for part 2 to come out.

The only bad point for the movie was most of the parts were cut off.

The part where they had sex, and where Bella was giving birth.

It's been so hard to blog lately.
It feels like there's just not enough time for me to do anything else.

In a blink of an eye, 7 weeks just flew past me.
And in another 3 months, I'll be graduating.
I don't know what I am going to do, and I can't anticipate what is to come.
For a moment, I feel lost thinking about my future.
Nothing is set on stone, nothing is of concrete plan.
For awhile there, I feel helpless, wondering if this is what I want to do.
I wonder if anyone else feels the same.

besides the never ending deadlines that seems to chase me everyday.

Made my passport and missed class for the first time in almost two years. haha.
Missed my law assessment and have to resit tomorrow morning.

Rushed to college today after making my passport and went to watch in time. LOVE !

Not much to blog about besides meeting up on Monday morning to finish up group project and had crazy spaghetti buffet lunch at Plaza Kelana Jaya by the lake. :)
Projects and assessments are due next week and the week after that.
I'm going crazy with all the deadlines and submissions of paperwork.
Mum on the other hand is rushing me to apply for uni.

Yes, I'm going crazy and I'm still trying to make time for dancing classes.

Spent a bomb on a bag recently and for now, I have to live below the lines.
Still no regrets. The money was worth it.

Can't wait for the upcoming family trip next month. Wish me luck !

I've been busy with so many things lately it's crazy.
Assignments are piling up sky high, and we're entering week 4 now. 6 more weeks to go.

world food day

it's been so long since I've blogged.
So sorry to have abandoned you readers out there.
(if there were any to begin with)

Main thing I wanted to post about today was the World Hunger Day.
Joined my friends and lecturer at college at 7.30am. on a Sunday morning to help pack meals for the hungry people.
The whole event itself was amazing and the experience was one of a kind.
Note that we were there voluntarily. And we spent one whole day there packing food.

It was crazy fun and we laughed and danced so hard at the end.
They even served free flow of beer to all participants.
So proud of myself. :)

Watched the three musketeers in 3D yesterday. Mum's treat.
Entire movie was awesome !
Even more in 3D. Don't mind watching it again.

Have been drowned in part time jobs lately and spending my money on seriously unnecessary things.
I honestly don't know why, but I have the strongest urge to spend spend spend. :)

I have been shopping so much lately, I can actually make a super haul video already.
There's the file organiser from Miss Whatever.
Then the slip in files from popular.
Cardigan from Nichii.
Shirts from Cotton On.
New pencil box and phone casing from the night market.
Hair accessories from the market too.
New thermal mug. (dad wouldn't let me use the plastic one. all the more reason to spend money)
New handbag which I regretted getting.
New stationery.
Another new handbag (on the way to recieving it)
New accessory from Diva.
Hair dye. (have chio hair now !)

Just to list down a few. hahah.

Seriously. Have been spending too much money.
At least I was working for the past few days to earn back some money.
Was a terrible shopaholic.
I guess my wish list is somewhat completed. Haha. It'd better be right?

if you don't know this dress, it is "metamorphosis" designed by Luly Yang

and it is one of the most beautiful dress that I've ever seen.

It ranges from golden yellow to dark hues of orange and red, similar to a monarch butterfly.

the whites of the wing are embedded with beautiful tiny crystal like beads

and the dress just takes my breathe away.

I'm being very random but I want to share this dress.

it is absolutely beautiful.

okay..

internship was officially over on Sunday.
And after that, was a string of events that became quite crazy.

Work on Sunday ended at 7 and we (me and Jen Nee that is) had awesome dinner at TGIF.
Walked around Pavillion looking at stuff after that and then went home.

Had to wake up early on Monday to meet up at McD in KL. We're suppose to do our clearance and retuen everything to Westin. BUT, we did not recieve all our appraisal forms yet so we could not clear our stuff.

THEN, Karen called on Tuesday morning to ask me if it was okay if I spend the night at college to help her do hair and make up for the competition on Wednesday. So I packed and went out and bought stuff and fetched sister here and there and packed during the whole afternoon. After dinner, left to college to help Karen with her preparation.

Wiped glasses, cut fruits, and made candied roselle all at 1 in the morning. Slept in Karen's car for about half an hours before waking up at 2 to take bath and start hair and make up routine. Did her hair and make up until 4 something, then pack up everything to leave for KLCC at 5 in the morning.

Did not manage to see her perform because the stupid people of FHM would not let us in. BAH !
So, just waited around from 5 till 9 something staring at chefs walking about.

Met up with Dev, Chee Seng, Micheele, Jen Nee and Benny then head off to Suria KL for breakfast. Was mad hungry at that time. After that, walked to Westin to try to do our clearance one more time BUT the HR people were TOO BUSY to layan us. They even asked us to return again.

BAHHH !! That's two trips to KL for nothing.
sheeeshh.. *mumbles about something mean*

SO, continue walking around Pavi, had lunch at Snowflake, then watched Johnny English reborn.

Honestly, I cannot give reviews about the movie cause half the time I was sleeping in the cinema. I as dead tired. And apparently some of us were sleeping too. Some of them still had work and we were soooo friggin tired. Well, except Jen Nee who sat beside me and laughed like shit. haha.

After that, we all went home and they had dinner at dai chou but I went home to sleep instead. Woke up at 7 with a massive stomachache and then mumma made maggi with assam soup for me. Makan then slept.

And that all leads to now with me, just out from bathe and typing away. :)

feels like I've been gone for so so long.

was a crazy week.
had to become room coordinator for almost one week.
thank goodness I made it out alive.

she was scary as hell.
she screamed and yelled and whack your shoulder.
and then she tells you unmotivative things that will kill your spirit.

but after you've made it through all that, she's okay.
at least I hope she remains that way for the next remaining two weeks.

it was almost unbelievable that she helped me out with work yesterday.

Had the very best day of my life today in housekeeping.
Was suppose to be a backup for a housekeeping maid on the 19th floor,
but the manager told me to follow the nepal guy to fix curtains for the rooms.
So I did nothing but laze around the whole day and scrubbing corners for dust.
I sneezed like nobody's business today.
The whole floor was closed for some maintenance job and it was so dusty.

They were redoing the wallpaper and lacquering the wooden drawers.
It was crazy because there was not a single guest on the floor and I was happily running around with the vacuum cleaner and a grouting brush and a reader's digest magazine which some gust left behind.

Hide behind curtains to read the magazine, while pretending to look busy scrubbing.
Muahahhaah.

Thursday is going to be my doomsday.
Amanda will be around to teach me to coordinate rooms.
Am freaking out at the thought of her teaching me. ARGH !

worked for a good 13 solid hours yesterday, excluding the time I required to wake up, tie hair and make up.
and the jam in kl when I had to go home.
I swear it was one of the busiest days I've had in front office.
Had to settle limo arrivals, escourting chef wan to the meeting room.
And arranged the check in and amenities for the CEO of singapore airlines.
His secretary was so nice !

am partly excited, and not excited at the same time.

just the thought of meeting the housekeeping manager makes me cringe. (in pain)

Had one of the most craziest birthday ever.

Was actually working in the hotel that day and wawa played a bad trick on me

when it was almost time to go home.

Was am in a frustrated mood as I had to redo the whole report for the VIPs.

Then she came in and told me I had to pay RM 73.70 because I attached

the wrong amenity card.

I was totally bummed and I had no choice but to pay.

So I was in the ultimate pissy mood.

Then the phone ring but I ignored.

And then Joe from Guest Services came and told me that

I had to go upstairs and see the westin executive club manager

because the guest wanted to complain about me or something.

So I had to abandon my half finish report and followed him up.

I was scared to my bones and I didn't recall checking in any guest that day.

Then, he hurried me to the back area to find the manager,

and they were all hiding there with a cake.

I was so friggin relieved and surprised at the same time.

Was so touched that they did all that for me.

Wawa actually requested for a cake from pastry that day just to celebrate

my birthday.

It was definately one birthday that I would never forget.

My off day is finally here.
I hope work starts to get more bearable.
Am constantly dozing off to sleep in the lobby at my desk.

everytime that she screams out loud like i'm deaf.

Yesterday was my first day at Guest Experience department.
It was so stressful. So many things to remember at one time.
And apparently due to the high occupancy in the hotel, I've got five days to learn and absorb everything.
Please pray hard for me cause it's going to be a very difficult three months.
Then there's monin to worry about too.
Submission is this Sunday night. And I haven't settle on anything yet.

I am doomed. Pray that everything will work out well.

Orientation at The Westin KL

an update after 3 days of orientation at the Westin KL.

Orientation was one word. boring.
Yes, I can summarise 3 days of activity into one word.
BORING.

We did nothing but listen to the managers of each and every department that exists in the hotel talk about what they do. And some honestly do not have the presentation skill or they just fail to connect to teenagers.
For three days I've been dozing off in the training room.
Trying to keep my eyes open was very very VERY difficult.

Had a small treasure hunt game yesterday which was weird and UN-exciting.
In the end my team lost. WTF.
Today was more of a moving around activity.
But the talking part was boring again.
No energy to sustain throughout the day.

Went to Pavi and bought another pair of ugly black shoes.
At least still much better than the kitten heels I have. Those hurt like crap.

Submission date is pushing me up the wall.
I'm scared and tired and so stressed out.
Not to mention the family member who was neurotic and most of the time annoying.
The older one.

I miss the solitude in penang, and the carefree life besides worrying about what to have for dinner and lunch.
I'm scared and nervous all the time here.
And I really hope this too, shall pass soon.

Went down to KL four times today.

As in literally 4 times.

As in home to KL then home to KL then home to KL etc..

Am so tired and exhausted to the point I don't feel like eating.

And my stomach is crying out really loud.

Went home at 4 in the morning yesterday.

Yes, it was crazyy.

Dropped by downtown in the wee hours of the morning with a friend.

somtimes, things just don't turn out the way you plan it would.
you won't know what is going on until it shows in the end.
like a secret, it floats around you.
swirling and turning above your head, mocking you.

I won't know how this would end.
And I don't write this story.
I am sick of being disappointed to be unable to reach the ending I want.
I may hold the pen to my own life, but the consequences of the actions I create, I can't control.
So for once, I leave the pen in fate's hand.
And I let it point to me where I should go.

Decisions decisions decisions.

So many paths to choose. But which way is the right one.

There is no way of knowing what lies at the end.

So do I walk, or do I give up my journey and turn around.

Because once I turn around, I know I can never look back.

I get tired so easily.

After Malacca, there's more training for finals, and then there's a part time job on Wednesday.
Then outing with my old old friend Lim Wenyi.
And then internship starts on the 4th. Which is precisely next week.

Today was the official competition for the Monin Cup 2011.
All those practices really paid off !
And I am still in shock for the events that happened today.

And that itself is an achievement to me.

Am now up for the finals and the submission of fiche technique is in two weeks.

hey there !

I know it's been awhile since I blogged about my last post.
Have been so caught up with events lately I have no time to blog at all.
With Monin practices and assessments and internship things to settle going on and on and on,
it's a wonder how some people are still hyper everyday.

For the past two weeks I've been having practices and practices and more practices on perfecting my drink for the competition. Then there's the final assessments coming up too.

Went up to Broga Hill one day during a weekday and managed to come back in time for classes too.
Almost got caught up with a disciplinary problem when we had a miscommunication when we had to skip practical class for pre-judge tasting.
Followed by trips to KL and Cheras and Hoofed and Taman Tun.
And then a recent trip up Genting for some fresh air and then back down to Trop mall for a night movie.

It's one after another. And things are getting so much more exciting.

Hello people !

Just came back from Hoofed in Taman Tun.

And I swear their pork is shooo awesome !

Had drinks with Mr Patrick and Shawn the bartender regarding Monin Cup.

Desperately need a direction to move towards for researching.

Finally feeling excited and a good feeling is coming over.

Watched Pirates of the Caribbean yesterday and it was so frigging awesome.

Especially loves the part where the mermaid comes in.

I am still so astounded by her beauty. It's like they were born to be mermaids.

Bottle Flaring

Flaring.

One of the most amazing tricks and juggling entertainment I've seen.

Juggling GLASS bottle in the air with only two hands.

And the things people can do with just plain glass bottles.

Yes, I'm dead beat and I just came back from a three hours flaring session.

We did nothing but throw bottles around all night.

And the experience was so amazing.

Life is honestly getting more and more exciting for me.

This whole week has been piled up with activities, I hope I can keep up with all my work.

I'm trying to expose myself to so many new things.

Trying to open up my world, trying to learn and learn and learn.

Because I don't want to be the old me anymore.

I don't want to be afraid of everything.

And I don't want to be afraid of my past anymore.

I have so much to rant about right now.

I've had barely enough sleep for the past few days and right now I'm as cranky as hell.

Just came back from my service class and got reprimanded like hell by the lecturer.
I can't say it's his fault, neither can I fully take the blame.
But what he said had hurt a little.
I was always telling myself that I can do better.
Constantly pushing myself to learn from my mistakes, and to be stronger.
Forever reminding myself that I can do great things, if only I would walk towards it.

Still I can't say I'm perfect. Though I try my best to aim for the top.
I can still do great thing, if only I was stronger.

Sometimes, they give me credit for what sounds like another me.
Compliments come and go, but I could never take them.
I've always humbled myself, willing to watch and listen in silence.
Always stepping out of the way for someone else to shine.

But now it's all different. I'm trying to stand up taller.
I'm trying to fight for my own words, and my own thoughts.
I am trying so hard to become the lion, a metamorphosis from the frightened cat who stood in no one's way.

Life's becoming different. And all the opportunities are being thrown at me.
Now, it's all up to me whether I would pick them up or not.

He says I'm always so disobedient.
He picks on the smallest mistake I make.
He points me out and tell me I'm wrong.
And he never looks up to me.

I know what I can do.
I know what I can achieve in a foreign environment.
I know the people, and their sly ways.
And I know the right path to choose.

I choose now to better myself.
To fight for what I deserve.
And I don't have to prove to anyone what I can do.

As mentioned previously, went to Nikko Hotel to enquire about the university of Brighton.

The whole thing seemed very promising.

Although, dad still wanted to keep my options opened.

But they have awesome sweets!

Was mother's day some few days ago.
Bought her some luxury cupcakes from Wondermilk.
Sister bought her macaroons.
But it didn't taste as good as Chef Karam's one.

Dinner night with family when cousin from the US came over to Malaysia.

They're currently staying in the Royale Bintang hotel.

And the US imported Morgan Lee.

Who couldn't stand the heat and became very cranky.

But when we turned on the car air con at full blast, she started giggling.

And then Keagan, the american speaking boy.

Honestly, his slang was so thick I could barely understand what he says.

But he was sooo adorable !

Had to bribe him with candy to get his picture taken.

So, that's all for now.
Suddenly took part in the Monin Cup 2011.
I think I just needed that fun in my now empty life. :)

nehhh. I know its been so long since I've blogged and that is soooo not me.
Have been a busy week and my baby laptop has been affected by virus. ARGH!
Yes.. so it's been unavailable to keep me company because it was being left at the hospital for a few days to be reprogrammed entirely.
Now my baby feels so foreign to me. :(

Anyway, had our PA event last Monday.
Very worrying when people were not showing up for our forum.
And everything was being done so last minute.
But in the end, everything turned out fine.
Another sigh of relief. :)

yay. awesome group picture. The chinese guy in the middle with his hand pointing up was the best amateur magician I've ever seen. hahaa. He seriously was damn amazing !

Moving on to that. Had kitchen class and exams here and there.
Nothing much to blog about. Life has been somewhat a little boring.
But mid terms are coming up and I have to go study now. BOOO.....
